Militants carried out a deadly assault on a Pakistani military post near the Afghanistan border. They utilized a vehicle laden with explosives, resulting in the tragic loss of seven security force members.
According to a statement from the military’s media wing, six attackers were involved in the assault on a Pakistani military post in north-west Pakistan near the Afghanistan border. However, the statement did not specify the militant group responsible for this violent act.

As per the statement, the terrorists carried out a devastating attack by ramming an explosive-laden vehicle into the military post. Subsequently, they executed multiple suicide bombings, causing a portion of a building to collapse and resulting in the martyrdom of five individuals.
Residents in Waziristan, an area bordering Afghanistan in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, reported to Reuters that an explosion reverberated, shaking doors and damaging windows around the commencement of the attack.
In recent months, there has been a significant rise in attacks in Pakistan, with many of them attributed to the Pakistani Taliban (TTP). These militants have been utilizing Afghan soil as a base to launch their violent assaults.
The recent events have strained the ties between Pakistan and the ruling Afghan Taliban. Despite the Taliban’s denial of allowing Afghanistan to be used by militants, suspicions persist.
Pakistan’s national elections in February unfolded amidst heightened security measures. Tragically, on election day, nine lives were lost due to a combination of blasts, grenade attacks, and gunfire.
