KCNA news agency reported on Thursday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently emphasized the need for heightened preparedness for war. During his visit to the Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics, he addressed young soldiers, urging them to be more thoroughly prepared for a war than ever before. This call comes in the context of an uncertain and unstable military and political situation.
On Wednesday, Kim Jong Un provided field guidance at the Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics, an institution named after his late father, who passed away in 2011.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), this university holds the distinction of being the premier center for military education within the country.
In recent years, Pyongyang has indeed intensified its weapons development efforts, including test-firing several ballistic and cruise missiles. Moreover, Kim Jong Un has strategically strengthened North Korea’s ties with Russia, which has raised concerns about the region’s security dynamics.
Kim Jong Un’s resolute message to the staff and students of the Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics echoes through the corridors of North Korea. In no uncertain terms, he declared that if the enemy dares to engage in military confrontation with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the response will be swift and unyielding—a death-blow delivered without hesitation, utilizing every available means at their disposal.
Kim Jong Un, in a display of strategic assertiveness, personally oversaw the test launch of a cutting-edge hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile. This missile, powered by solid propellants, represents a significant advancement for North Korea’s missile capabilities.
North Korea has recently leveled accusations against the United States and South Korea, alleging that they are escalating military tensions through their joint military exercises.
These maneuvers, which North Korea refers to as “war maneuvers,” have been conducted with increased intensity and scale in recent months.
