On Friday, French authorities apprehended an individual following an alert from the Iranian consulate in Paris. The alert indicated that the person had entered the consulate premises while carrying an explosive.
The police swiftly responded to the situation, and heightened security measures were implemented in the vicinity of the consulate.
The man has left the consulate and is currently undergoing interrogation by the police.

According to an AFP journalist, the entire neighborhood surrounding the consulate in the 16th district of the capital has been cordoned off, and a substantial police presence is currently in effect.
