Two lives were tragically lost, and 14 individuals sustained serious injuries during a mass shooting at a block party in Orange Mound, Memphis, Tennessee. According to the city’s interim police chief, CJ Davis, the incident occurred at the intersection of Carnes Avenue and Grand Street, near Orange Mound Park, on a Saturday evening shortly after 7:00 PM local time.

The Memphis Fire Department swiftly dispatched multiple ambulances to the scene, responding to the urgent need for medical assistance.
The top police official informed the media that they discovered five shooting victims at the scene. Tragically, two of them were pronounced dead on-site, while the remaining three were urgently transported to the hospital in critical condition.
As the police continue their investigation, they are actively searching for suspects. According to their preliminary findings, at least two individuals discharged firearms during the incident.
In addition, eleven more gunshot victims were transported to nearby hospitals in private vehicles, bringing the total number of victims to sixteen. According to local news outlets in Memphis, this incident stands as one of the largest mass shootings in the city’s history.
