In a shocking incident, the Clearwater Florida Plane Crash has left the local community reeling. A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza V35 plane crashed into a mobile home on Thursday night, resulting in multiple fatalities and spreading fire to nearby homes.
The local fire department, Clearwater Fire & Rescue, received a call about the crash at 7:08 p.m. EST. They were on the scene within seven minutes, battling the flames that had spread from the crash site to at least four additional homes in the vicinity. Thanks to their swift action, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames and evacuate the residents.
“Our biggest thing right now is to try and figure out if there are any other victims. A mobile home doesn’t withstand much in the first place, so the aircraft pretty much demolished it. The fire consumed the rest,” Clearwater Fire Chief Scott Ehlers said at a press briefing.
Ehlers also confirmed the severity of the incident, “I can confirm we have several fatalities both from the aircraft and within the mobile home. We’re still working to make sure that there is no additional, and it’s limited to what we do know right now.”

Clearwater Police are on the scene, working in collaboration with local fire officials and the medical examiner’s office. They plan to provide their information to federal investigators, according to Clearwater Police Chief Eric Gandy.
Frances Yont, a resident who lives across the street from the crash site, described the scene as “horrible”. She told 10 Tampa Bay, a CBS affiliate, that she could feel the heat from the fire when she ran out of her home in Clearwater, which is roughly 20 miles west of Tampa. “Everything was popping like propane tanks,” she said. “We couldn’t do anything. It was horrible.”
This tragic incident has left the Clearwater community in shock and mourning. As the investigation continues, our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
