Mint Butterfield, the 16-year-old daughter of billionaire Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield, has disappeared. According to The San Francisco Standard, her mother, Caterina Fake, reported her missing on Monday. Mint was last seen around 10 pm on Sunday in Bolinas and has not been found since.
The billionaire’s daughter, who has a history of substance abuse, was residing with her mother and attending a private boarding school in Napa, according to The San Francisco Standard.
There are suspicions that she may have sought refuge in San Francisco’s notorious Tenderloin district, known for its high crime rates, homelessness, and drug trade.
Prominent writer and social media figure Yashar Ali recently shared on the X platform that a close friend’s 16-year-old child is currently missing.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office initially shared a flyer featuring Mint Butterfield’s photo on the Nextdoor social media platform. Supervisor Matt Dorsey subsequently reposted the same flyer on X.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the San Francisco Police Department, has made efforts to locate Mint Butterfield, but as of now, they remain unlocated.

And regarding Fake and Stewart Butterfield, they co-founded the image-hosting website Flickr in 2004, which they later sold to Yahoo in 2005. Stewart Butterfield also launched the workplace chat tool Slack, which was acquired by Salesforce in 2021 for a staggering $28 billion. However, he left the firm in 2022.
