Umm Fahad, whose real name is Ghufran Sawadi, a well-known Iraqi social media influencer, was fatally shot outside her home in Baghdad on Friday, as reported by CNN.
The shooting incident occurred in the Zayouna area to the east of Baghdad and was recorded by a nearby surveillance camera. The footage was subsequently shared on social media.

In the video, a man riding a bike approaches a location. Shortly afterward, he dismounts, runs toward a car, fires shots, and then quickly leaves the scene.
As the perpetrator remains unidentified. Authorities are currently conducting investigations into the incident.
Based on the report, Ghufran Sawadi had previously received a six-month prison sentence due to her social media videos being considered ‘obscene and indecent,’ which were deemed to violate public decency and morals, as stated by the Iraqi judiciary.
Despite the controversy, the star persisted in posting videos of herself dancing to popular music while wearing tight-fitting attire.
In September 2023, Noor Alsaffar, a well-known Iraqi TikTok star who went by the name Noor BM, was fatally shot in Baghdad. Alsaffar gained popularity for sharing videos related to fashion, hair, and makeup, often featuring dance performances.
