Late on Saturday, a driver crashed a car into the outer gate of the White House, resulting in the driver’s death, according to the US Secret Service.
Around 10:30 PM, a speeding vehicle crashed into an outer perimeter gate at the White House complex. The Secret Service confirmed that there was no threat to the White House itself.
Officers arriving at the scene “attempted to render aid to the driver who was discovered dead,” the statement said.

He added there was “no threat or public safety implications”.
Earlier this year, officials apprehended an individual who drove a vehicle into the outer gate of the White House complex.
In response to a series of high-profile trespassing incidents, the White House erected a more robust metal fence around its perimeter in 2020.
