A Bulgarian cruise ship collided with a concrete wall in a sluice along the River Danube in the northern Austrian town of Aschach an der Donau, resulting in injuries to eleven individuals, according to local authorities on Saturday .
A spokesperson for the police in the nearby town of Eferding reported that approximately 160 passengers were on board the ship, which was traveling from Bavaria in Germany to the Austrian city of Linz.
Following the incident, the eleven injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital. Remarkably, the cruise ship managed to resume its journey after the accident, as confirmed by the spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, the severity of the injuries remained unclear at that moment.
Local media reports, an additional six individuals sustained minor injuries that did not necessitate hospitalization.
