A video has emerged online, capturing a heated altercation between two EVA Air passengers during a long-haul flight from Taiwan to California. According to the New York Post, the incident occurred on a Tuesday.
Yesterday, a fierce fight broke out on an EVA Air flight BR08 bound from Taiwan to San Francisco. Two passengers engaged in a heated argument over an empty seat, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

The fight erupted just a few hours into the 11.5-hour journey when one passenger attempted to change seats due to their neighbor’s coughing. However, this led to a confrontation with the original occupant, who retaliated against the seat poacher.
During the incident captured in the video shared on X (formerly Twitter), flight attendants attempted to defuse the situation between the two fighting passengers.
As they worked to separate the men, one of the flight attendants was accidentally elbowed in the head. In the chaotic background, other passengers screamed while the two men continued their physical altercation in the aisle. Eventually, several passengers intervened to assist the crew in separating them.

As reported by the Post, the altercation began when one passenger grew irritated with a fellow traveler seated next to them, who was persistently coughing.
In response, the disgruntled passenger decided to change seats and sought out an unoccupied one. However, shortly thereafter, the original occupant of that seat returned.
A fierce altercation erupted, prompting cabin crew members to intervene and physically separate the two men. Punches were exchanged, and at one point, a passenger had to be restrained while others on board screamed in alarm.
After a violent altercation, the crew managed to defuse the situation. The two men, who had been pointing and shouting at each other, were subsequently separated for the duration of the flight. Upon arrival in San Francisco, they were reportedly handed over to the police.
The video has gone viral on social media, amassing over 34,000 views. In the comments section, users praised the flight attendants for their professionalism and quick intervention.”
