A video has emerged online, capturing a homeless woman violently assaulting a Los Angeles city bus driver following a fare dispute.
According to CBS News, the altercation occurred around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday near Central Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard. Witnesses reported that the female driver informed the woman that she didn’t need to pay the fare since DASH buses are free.
In response, the homeless woman attacked the driver, attempting to pull her out from behind the protective glass barrier.
In the video, the female passenger aggressively grabbed, pulled, and punched the bus driver, who valiantly resisted. The driver’s voice can be heard shouting, ‘Get off me!’ as she fought back.
After a prolonged struggle, the driver managed to close the doors and drive away. Fortunately, the driver escaped serious harm and received on-site treatment before being released without hospitalization.

According to FOX11 Los Angeles, the woman was taken into custody for investigation related to battery. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation is actively considering ways to enhance the current barriers between drivers and passengers.
