On Friday night, a coordinated attack unfolded at the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, a Russian city on the western edge of Moscow. Several gunmen, clad in combat fatigues, burst into the concert hall and opened fire on the gathered audience. They also used incendiary devices, resulting in a massive blaze within the venue.

The United Nations Security Council has condemned this heinous and cowardly terrorist attack. Russian authorities have detained all four attackers, who were reportedly heading for Ukraine, despite the Islamic State claiming responsibility.
Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik reported posting a video in which at least three maskless men in camouflage burst into the hall through the stalls and started shooting can be seen.

As reported by the Sputnik correspondent on the ground, the assailants fired at close range, targeting innocent concertgoers. In addition to gunfire, they hurled incendiary devices into the venue, causing panic and chaos.
Those fortunate enough to escape the hall were guided to safety by the venue’s security personnel, who directed them toward the emergency exits. Meanwhile, the guards courageously held their positions, ensuring the safety of others within the complex.
