Reports have emerged that the body of Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, was discovered in a morgue, following claims of it being unaccounted for in the preceding days. An unidentified paramedic, speaking to an independent media source, noted the presence of bruising on the body.
According to the paramedic, it’s customary for bodies of those who pass away in prison to be directly transported to the Foreign Medicine Bureau. However, in an unusual turn of events, this particular body was taken to a clinical hospital. The paramedic further noted that the “bruises” found on the body were akin to the marks typically seen when someone is restrained during a seizure.

Alexei Navalny, a prominent adversary of President Vladimir Putin, tragically passed away while serving a 19-year sentence at a secluded Arctic prison colony. According to the prison authorities, Navalny had gone for a walk and unfortunately, lost consciousness. Despite attempts, he could not be resuscitated.
Prison authorities informed Navalny’s mother, Lyudmila, that the cause of his death was “sudden death syndrome”. Upon their arrival at the prison region on Saturday, Lyudmila and Navalny’s legal representative were denied access to his body. They were informed that the body could not be released until the completion of an ongoing investigation.
Supporters of the deceased have leveled accusations against Russian officials, alleging them of his murder. They further assert that these officials are withholding the body to conceal any evidence of their alleged actions.
Earlier, Yulia Navalnaya, wife of Navalny, expressed her doubts about the news of her husband’s demise, given that the information originated from sources within the Russian government.
The demise triggered a wave of indignation and denunciation in the West, with US President Joe Biden attributing the responsibility for Navalny’s death to Putin.
