Kami Rita Sherpa, one of the world’s most skilled climbing guides on Mount Everest, achieved a remarkable feat by reaching the Earth’s highest peak for the 29th time.
Rita Sherpa, the 54-year-old Nepalese climber and guide, achieved an impressive feat during the last spring season by ascending the 8,848.86-meter (29,031.7-foot) highest peak twice within a week, setting a record for his 28th summit.
Remarkably, he has now hinted at his intention to conquer the peak twice more during this current climb, aiming to surpass his own record once again.
Prior to reaching the summit, Mr. Kami Rita had expressed that he did not have a specific goal in terms of the number of times he would climb Sagarmatha (the Nepalese name for Mount Everest).
According to the Department of Tourism, the climber who set the record successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest at 7:25 AM NST on Sunday.
He was leading an expedition organized by the company ‘Seven Summit Treks’. This remarkable achievement highlights his expertise and dedication in conquering the world’s highest peak .

This remarkable feat has earned him the prestigious title of the “Most Successful Ascent of Mt. Everest by an Individual.” The news was shared by Seven Summit Treks via an Instagram post on Sunday morning, celebrating Kami Rita’s extraordinary accomplishment .
In late May, Sherpa embarked on an expedition from Kathmandu, leading a team of approximately 28 climbers. Kami Rita has been guiding climbers as they ascend Sagarmatha, also known as Mount Everest.
Mr. Kami Rita holds the record for the highest number of ascents on the world’s tallest peak in the 71-year history of Sagarmatha climbing.
