In a romantic beachside proposal, Sen. Tim Scott, the former presidential candidate, announced his engagement to Charleston interior designer Mindy Noce, marking a new chapter in both their lives. “She said YES. Mindy, thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world,” Scott shared on social media.
The South Carolina senator, who was once the only bachelor in the Republican race for president, took to social media to share the joyous news.
Posting a picture of himself on one knee before Noce on the beach, Scott wrote, “She said YES. Mindy, thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world.” He also shared a quote from the Bible, Proverbs 18:22, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord”.

Noce, a mother of three and a successful interior designer from Charleston, was introduced to the public by Scott at a Republican debate in November. At that time, Scott was still in the presidential race and his bachelor status was a point of concern for potential donors. However, he suspended his campaign later that month.
In September, during an interview with Fox News, Scott spoke about his relationship with Noce. He said, “I have a wonderful girlfriend and we have a wonderful relationship. The good news is, God has blessed me with a smart Christian woman”.
The engagement took place on Kiawah Island, followed by a celebratory dinner. Noce was seen attending church the next morning, proudly wearing her engagement ring. The news of their engagement was well-received, with far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) extending her congratulations to the couple.
Despite his personal joy, Scott remains committed to his political career. On Friday, he endorsed Donald Trump for president, forsaking former South Carolina Gov.
Nikki Haley, who had appointed Scott to his Senate seat in 2012. As speculation mounts about Trump’s choice for vice president, some wonder if Scott’s loyalty could earn him a spot on the ticket.
Before the proposal, Scott had shared his feelings about Noce in an interview, saying, “The good news is we continue to have a healthy relationship. And I’ll tell you, we have a lot of fun together. Hopefully, as life continues we’ll continue to see our relationship evolve. But more importantly, I think the American people are more interested in their families than in my relationship”.
After the proposal, Scott shared his excitement and gratitude, saying, “I’ve been very patient and prayerful, and I’m really excited and somewhat nervous, and I couldn’t be more thankful for having found a soul mate and someone who shares a lot of the same interests, passions, and goals that I do”.
The engagement of Sen. Tim Scott and Mindy Noce is not just a personal milestone for the couple, but also a significant event in the political landscape. As they embark on this new journey together, we wish them all the happiness and love in their future endeavors. May their bond strengthen with each passing day and may they continue to inspire each other in all aspects of life. Congratulations to the happy couple!
