The mother instructed her 3-year-old son to say goodbye to his father via a mobile camera. Subsequently, she shot the child in a ditch before taking her own life.
A San Antonio mother, Savannah Kriger, fired a gun at her wedding photos and made her 3-year-old son, Kaiden, say ‘goodbye to daddy’ via FaceTime. She then fatally shot the child and turned the weapon on herself. The Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled the deaths a suicide and homicide.
Police revealed that the mother and son were found with gunshot wounds to their heads. The tragic incident occurred on March 19, and it took several weeks for investigators to piece together the events leading up to the murder-suicide.
A 21-second video discovered on her phone depicted Kriger and her son sitting in a park ditch. In the video, the woman instructed her son to bid farewell to his father.
Subsequently, she apologized to him, acknowledging that his father wasn’t there for him. She then kissed the child. According to authorities, the mother searched for cartoon videos while sitting in the ditch where they were later discovered deceased.
