A well-known TikTok creator, who has gained a substantial following on the Chinese-owned app, has publicly endorsed the US government’s efforts to compel the sale of TikTok.
This endorsement coincides with recent White House actions, including the passage of a bill that could result in a permanent ban of TikTok in the United States.
The influencer, drawing from personal experiences, is actively urging American authorities to take decisive steps.
White House Approves Bill Posing Threat to TikTok’s Existenc:
The United States’ most widely used musical video platform, which has faced allegations of disseminating ‘Hamas hate speech’ and enticing young Americans toward radical Islam, was teetering on the brink of a ban from the US market.
This development followed the House of Representatives’ approval of the updated ‘Disinvest-or-Ban’ bill on April 21. Remarkably, this bill could mark the first instance of the US government taking steps to shut down a social media platform.

TikTok Influencer’s Urgent Plea:
Zach Sage Fox, a comedian and actor with over one million followers on TikTok due to his stand-up videos, has articulated reasons for advocating the app’s ban. Despite being aware of the impact on his earnings, the social media influencer acknowledges the risks associated with this popular video-sharing platform.
He expressed his fear about the content he encountered on TikTok. Specifically, he highlighted the platform’s role in spreading misinformation related to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Following the White House’s recent bill, his concerns intensified, “I am terrified of what I am seeing on TikTok,” Zach told the post on April 19.
His concern about an unusual algorithm on TikTok. He believes that this algorithm is intentionally spreading content that negatively impacts the Western perspective.
The House of Representatives passed the bill with an overwhelming majority (360 to 58 votes), requiring ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, to divest within nine months. Despite its popularity among approximately 150 million U.S. users, TikTok has faced scrutiny due to its association with “Chinese Communist owners.”
Recent controversies involve the platform promoting Osama Bin Laden content and encouraging risky behavior among young users, including strangulation.
“The compelled divestiture of TikTok signifies a bipartisan milestone in countering the Chinese Communist Party’s most potent instrument of information warfare against the United States.
Congress will no longer passively tolerate the CCP’s unhindered use of TikTok to manipulate the minds of American youth, incite anti-American sentiments, and propagate antisemitism at an unprecedented scale and speed.
