Daniel Kellaway, a 28-year-old man wanted in connection with several offences, including threatening behavior, has become the subject of an amusing twist in a police appeal. Avon and Somerset Police posted a notice on Facebook seeking help to locate him.
The police have characterized him as “white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, of average build, with brown eyes and facial hair.” However, the mention of “receding brown hair” in the notice has piqued Kellaway’s interest.

A man who identified himself as Kellaway humorously commented about his hairline, saying, “No need to mention the hairline, guys. I’m heading to Turkey to get it sorted, and then we’ll catch up.”
Despite his criminal history, Kellaway has garnered a following on social media. In response to his comment, one of his fans quipped, “Gotta have a laugh, ain’t we, mate?”

“I shouldn’t laugh at this, but I am,” said another. A third user asked Kellaway to “have fun in Turkey”.
The police have not issued a response to the comment.
However, according to retired detective Nick Neville, the comment made by Kellaway could have serious consequences. Neville stated, “I have no doubt that the police will be thoroughly searching the area for him. But Kellaway’s laughter won’t last long after this encounter with the law—the net is closing in,” he told Metro.
Kellaway didn’t stop there, he later asked the police to amend his age after his birthday had already passed. It appears that Kellaway’s escapades have made him a memorable character, even as the police continue their search for him as part of several ongoing investigations, including driving offences.
