Three young Indian men have been tragically identified as the victims in an accident that occurred in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) during the early hours of Thursday. The victims are Reetik Chhabra (23 years old), his younger brother Ronan Chhabra (22 years old), and their friend Gaurav Fasge (24 years old). They lost their lives when the Volkswagen Jetta they were traveling in struck a pole.
Authorities believe the incident is linked to street racing, and another driver who may have been involved in the race with the car has been arrested. According to the police, extreme speed was a factor in the crash. The tragic accident took place around 1:30 AM on Thursday in the town of Brampton.

As per the Peel Regional Police (PRP), officers responded to the scene and discovered three young adult males who were tragically pronounced deceased. Preliminary information suggests that a second vehicle may have been involved. Authorities have located that vehicle and taken into custody the individual believed to be its driver. This person is currently awaiting charges related to the crash.
Police said “high speed” was involved in the possible collision as the vehicles “made contact.”
The three brothers had recently graduated from Seneca College, where they crossed paths with Fasge. Together, they rented a basement apartment in Brampton.
The Chhabra brothers, along with their close friend Gaurav Fasge, were diligent employees at the Savarg Beauty Salon in Brampton. The salon’s owner, Tirath Gill, considered them family and expressed profound grief at their loss. They worked together tirelessly for forty hours each week. The tragedy was further intensified by the fact that Reetik Chabbra was celebrating his birthday that night, along with his younger brother and Gaurav Fasge, making their untimely demise even more heartbreaking
The Chabbra brothers hailed from Chandigarh, while Fasge had his roots in Pune.
According to Gill, it is likely that they were heading home after dinner when the accident occurred. The Volkswagen Jetta they were traveling in collided with a pole, tragically leading to their untimely demise. The proximity of the accident to their residence adds to the heart-wrenching nature of the incident.
Their close friends have initiated an online fundraiser with the purpose of collecting funds. These funds will be utilized for two significant purposes: repatriating Fasge’s remains to India and covering the funeral expenses for the Chabbra brothers.
